Position Objectives
We are seeking a highly skilled Integration IP/MPLS Engineer to support the design, implementation, and integration of MPLS-based network infrastructure within large-scale service provider or enterprise environments. The role focuses on implementing and optimizing IP/MPLS access and aggregation network layers, ensuring high availability, redundancy, and performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei networking platforms, along with a deep understanding of routing, MPLS technologies, and network troubleshooting.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Perform Access MPLS implementation activities at the aggregation layer using Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei platforms.
- Configure and deploy routers and switches to support MPLS, QoS, and advanced IP routing features.
- Participate in the implementation and integration of network infrastructure within telecom or enterprise environments.
- Support network migration activities, upgrades, and new service rollouts.
- Develop and implement high-availability and redundant network topologies using MPLS and routing technologies.
- Optimize network performance by configuring and managing routing, switching, and traffic management policies.
- Support the implementation of advanced network technologies including MPLS VPNs and traffic engineering solutions.
- Perform root cause analysis for network issues and unexpected behavior during implementation or operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to routing, MPLS services, and network performance.
- Provide technical support during critical implementation phases and service rollouts.
- Work closely with network architecture, operations, and implementation teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, implementation procedures, and technical reports.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical recommendations to improve network reliability and performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IP/MPLS network implementation within telecom or service provider environments.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP Service Provider or JNCIP-SP are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of MPLS technologies, including LDP, L2VPN, L3VPN, and BGP.
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei networking platforms.
- Solid understanding of QoS mechanisms and traffic engineering.
- Strong knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 addressing and subnetting.
- Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, Python, NetConf, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of SDN/NFV concepts and network virtualization technologies such as VXLAN and EVPN.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage critical requests.
- Willingness to work in shift-based environments, including weekends or night shifts if required.
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
